There's been loads more snow over the weekend in Megeve down to the village. In fact the webcam of the lake at Combloux even shows a smattering down there. Looking forward to getting out there with the staff at the beginning of December. Then out for a proper hol at New Year.
We have only two rooms left now for the full week at New Year. There are some bits and bobs left over throughout Christmas and New Year. We have a few rooms available for short ski breaks between 20th and 26th Dec (dates can be flexible i.e. 22nd/23rd to 26th if prefered) in our catered chalet/hotel Sylvana and in our superior self-catered apartment le Roseau (sleeps 6-8). Then three rooms in our catered chalet/hotel Rond Point from Dec 27th to 30th or if you'd like to extend over New Year, we can offer up to 2nd Jan with a room change. That's it, when it's gone it's gone so call now!

Emile Allais, the skiing legend, who was born in Megeve has died aged 100 years old. Winner of multiple medals in various World Championships and a bronze at the 1936 Olympics he was a true Megeve Champion. He has given his name to the Emile Allais piste which used to be the Megeve downhill race track and the thought of flying straight down it is fairly nerve wracking! He was skiing up until the age of 99 years old and lived with his family in Megeve. For a great article on Emile Allais see http://welove2ski.com/emile-allais.

We are now completely full at Christmas for full week holidays. We still have some rooms left for ski weekends and short ski breaks so escape the dull, greyness of the UK and instead head for the snowy pistes of Megeve. Megeve is glorious at Christmas with fairy lights, ice sculptures, Santa in his grotto and of course Christmas dinner, log fires and carols in our catered chalets. We have a few rooms left for New Year week but they are going fast. We still have pre Christmas short breaks available, so please call.

I couldn't believe a tweet from welove2ski.com saying it was snowing in the Alps so I checked the megeve webcams (http://www.megeve.com/hiver/mont-blanc/alpes/haute-savoie/france/page/webcams-de-rochebrune) and yes, there is snow on Rochebrune. A sprinkling but it's only October! Roll on the season!
